By using SkipBorders ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What SkipBorders Is

SkipBorders provides personalized, self-serve relocation guides for people moving internationally. Guides cover visa options, banking, tax obligations, pre-departure checklists, and landing logistics. Content is curated from verified sources and real experience.

2. What SkipBorders Is Not

SkipBorders is an informational product, not a professional advisory service.

  • We do not provide legal advice, tax advice, or immigration consulting.
  • Guide content is based on common profiles and publicly available information. It is not tailored legal counsel for your specific situation.
  • We always recommend consulting qualified professionals (immigration lawyer, tax advisor) for decisions with legal or financial consequences.
  • Visa requirements, tax rules, and banking policies change frequently. While we update guides weekly, we cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.

Our wording reflects this: "based on profiles similar to yours, the most common option is X" rather than "for your case, the best visa is X."

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service and make a purchase.

4. The Quiz

The quiz is free. It collects basic information about your nationality, destination, work situation, timeline, and family status. Your free result shows which visa is most common for profiles similar to yours. Providing your email is optional and only required to save your results or receive nurturing emails.

5. Purchase and Delivery

  • Guides are priced in USD. The current price is displayed before checkout.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
  • After payment, your personalized guide is delivered immediately: download link on the success page + email with the PDF attached.
  • Each guide is generated on demand with the latest content at the time of purchase.

6. Personalized Digital Product

This is a personalized digital product generated specifically for your profile. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that the guide is produced and delivered instantly, and you waive the 14-day withdrawal right under EU distance selling regulations (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(a)).

Due to the digital and personalized nature of this product, all sales are final and no refunds will be issued. If you believe your guide contains inaccurate or outdated information, contact us at [email protected] — we take content accuracy seriously and update our guides weekly.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All guide content, website design, branding, and code are owned by SkipBorders.
  • Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the guide for your own relocation planning.
  • You may not redistribute, resell, or publish guide content.
  • Your quiz responses remain your data. We use them only to generate your guide and improve the service (see our Privacy Policy).

8. Email Communications

If you provide your email (via quiz or purchase), you may receive:

  • Your guide delivery email
  • A nurturing sequence of up to 5 emails with relocation tips

You can unsubscribe from nurturing emails at any time using the link in each email. Transactional emails (purchase confirmation, guide delivery) are not affected by unsubscribe.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • SkipBorders provides information on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not responsible for decisions you make based on guide content.
  • We are not liable for visa application outcomes, financial losses, tax penalties, or any other consequences of acting on guide information.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the guide.

10. Content Updates

We review and update guide content weekly. However, your purchased guide reflects the information available at the time of download. We do not currently push updates to previous buyers. Future update subscriptions may be offered separately.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts that are not yours
  • Redistribute or resell guide content
  • Use automated tools to scrape content from the site

12. Termination

We may refuse service or block access if you violate these terms. Downloaded guides remain yours regardless.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the site. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
